The Geography building has been extensively refurbished to facilitate new offices, laboratories, plant rooms, social spaces, and computer suite.

Due to the different applications of the building Lowe & Oliver were asked to install various different types of systems including: General lighting, power outlets within dado trunking, addressable fire alarm, refuge alarms, door access, sampling fire alarm within the lift shaft, IT room, disabled alarm and data and telecoms wiring.

In addition supplies were installed for mechanical plant, fume cupboards, mass spectrometer and luminescence laboratory equipment.
