Numbers 1 through to 23 Museum Road were a block of Victorian terraced houses which were refurbished to provide student accommodation. An opening from the road through two of the middle houses was formed from ground to first floor level to access, what was originally, the rear gardens. This enabled the construction of three further linked blocks to provide additional student accommodation, lecture theatre, multifunction room, laundry, porters lodge and basement storage, plant and switch room areas. Each floor has a common kitchen dedicated for the students on that landing's use. The bedrooms are self contained, each with a shower, wardrobe, bed and study area.
Following completion of the project, Lowe & Oliver were retained to undertake fitting out of various areas and lecture rooms direct for the college.
